We have a tiny honey producing bee that locals call 'sweat flies' or 'sweat bees'. They nest in Sausage trees where they build a protruding horn shaped entrance of wax, and we have also found them in rotting banana stumps. Does anyone have information on these bees and how we can foster them? We are on the north shore of Lake Victoria in Kenya.

Yes, Yes it should. This is what happens when I download a citation and don't read it carefully. Thanks.

Very interesting you write about this wasp, since I just collected two beautiful females in Crossnore, NC yesterday! The many jabs of her ovipositor into my finger were very irritating..

I wanted to add to James' comment that I live in NW Missouri, north of St. Joseph in on a farm outside Savannah, MO. I found one of these little leaf-rollers a week ago. Is this a record for range? I noticed on most range maps their distribution stops short of Kansas City.

Perhaps Senators McCain and Coburn could learn more about the valuable research and its benefits being conducted at NC State by Andrew Deans PhD and his hardworking staff. The museums holdings are available worldwide through http://www.gigapan.org/gigapans/53911/ as many as 5,000,000,000 have access to the NC State museum.
